Pemanfaatan Buku Cerita Sebagai Media Pengembangan Bahasa Anak Usia Dini di TK Qolbu Ilmi Islamic School

Pengembangan bahasa merupakan aspek penting dalam pendidikan anak usia dini yang perlu distimulasi melalui media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak. Salah satu media yang efektif untuk tujuan tersebut adalah buku cerita bergambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan buku cerita sebagai media pengembangan bahasa anak usia dini di TK Qolbu Ilmi Islamic School. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru kelas dan anak usia dini yang terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan buku cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku cerita dimanfaatkan secara rutin dan terintegrasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran harian melalui aktivitas membaca bersama, bercerita interaktif, dan menceritakan kembali isi cerita. Pemanfaatan buku cerita berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak, khususnya kemampuan menyimak, peningkatan kosakata, serta keberanian dan kemampuan anak dalam berbicara. Meskipun terdapat kendala berupa perbedaan tingkat fokus anak, guru mampu mengatasinya melalui strategi bercerita yang kreatif dan adaptif. Temuan penelitian ini memperkuat teori emergent literacy dan konstruktivisme sosial yang menekankan pentingnya interaksi dan pengalaman bermakna dalam pengembangan bahasa anak usia dini.
